EPISODE 14 - Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier

Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier is a musical with music by A. J. Holmes, lyrics by Kaley McMahon, and book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Eric Kahn Gale. The musical parodies the 1992 Walt Disney Animation Studios' film Aladdin, and The Walt Disney Company in general, telling the story from the point of view of Ja'far, the Royal Vizier. It has several nods and homages to the musical Wicked, which similarly retells a popular story from the villain's point of view.

ADHP - Timothy and Aubrey Joyce’s Podcast
ADHP (which stands for attention deficit hyperactive podcast) is a podcast by 2 people with ADHD who got married, BUT rather than being ABOUT ADHD, you sort of hang out in the world of ADHD for a little while. Sure, we're gonna talk about our experiences and such from time to time, but the point of ADHP is more like "Hey, do you need to escape for a little while? Cool cause we do too!!"

Whether you have ADHD or not, we're gonna be here chatting and laughing for a while, riding the waves of random topics as they float in. You can always listen intently to our rants on which ramen flavor is truly the best, or you can just play our strong opinions on what time signature Memories from CATS is actually in in the background while you clean your kitchen. We're here in whatever capacity you need us...... we just can't promise what we're gonna talk about next.

A Review

If nothing else, the performance of Kenneth L. Waters, Jr. make this a must-see experience. Waters portrays Mitch, the “comfort counselor.” Mitch is completing his community service hours by performing this job at the Bee. Waters was so convincing that I first wondered if he was just really this type of character in real life. The major brilliance of the performance by Waters is fully revealed when he also play the one of fathers to one of the characters. Waters transforms from knife-wielding thug to cake-baking nurturer. Waters even further shows his amazing technique and skill when he briefly plays a different character’s father and just as seamlessly transforms into a third, completely different character. Waters demonstrated strong vocals and he has an especially rich and pleasing tone. Overall, one of the best performances that I have seen in local theater." - a review on 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with Tantallon Players from Showbiz Radio
